After Spider-Man: No Way Home successfully brought Spider-Man back into multiverse action, is there a future for Andrew Garfield under the Spider-Man mask? He’s certainly open to the idea.
Esquire’s article on the actor (which is a great read) explores his past, present and future. certainly, almost Peter Parker’s career-defining role in both The Amazing Spider-Man movies has been mentioned repeatedly, including his surprising role in the Tom Holland-led trilogy, which was released in late 2021 and The start of 2022 was a huge success. Spider-Man adventures again? He’s 100 percent willing to do it, but only if the conditions are right.

Garfield admits that Sony Pictures’ The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was his last “solo” appearance as Spider-Man in 2014, but it didn’t turn out the way he wanted, especially after receiving so much scrutiny from the studio after. The moment he signed on to play the iconic Marvel character. While the film wasn’t a box office disaster by any means, Sony and Marvel began pursuing a new vision that included Spider-Man joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
“It’s been really healing for me,” the actor admits After The Amazing Spider-Man 3 was canceled, Tom Holland took over the role of Spider-Man in a rebooted series within the larger Marvel Universe Heroic role. Additionally, Garfield’s character in “No Way Home” wasn’t just a small cameo, he got some closure after Gwen Stacy’s death in “TASM2” and had plenty of moments to cheer about. Ultimately, it’s clear that people like his take on Spider-Man, even if his previous movies weren’t very good.
On whether he would don the suit if he got a call in the future, he said: “Of course, if it’s the right thing, if it contributes to the culture, if there’s a great concept or something, I would definitely do it. “100 percent back.” It’s something that’s never been done before, it’s unique, it’s weird, it’s exciting, you can put your heart and soul into it… I love the role and it brings joy, if I bring it. part of it is joy, then I’ll be happy to get it in return. “While the fourth Spider-Man movie set in the Marvel Universe could once again have multiverse elements, both Garfield and Tobey Maguire seem to be shying away from it. I’m guessing he could appear in The Avengers Alliance: Secret Wars.
