Google will expand search on Android. In the future, you can search for Chrome content directly using the search function in the app overview.
Under Android 13 you can already search for applications in the app overview using the search field. An insider reveals that this search bar will become even more powerful in the future. Because Google is working on linking content from Chrome with this function.
Again Industry insider Mishaal Rahman on Twitter announces that in an upcoming version you should be able to browse content from open windows and bookmarks. The search results are then presented in list form along with installed applications. The feature is still in an experimental stage.
So it may very well be that it will only appear with a later feature drop for Android 13 or even with Android 14. However, it’s possible that alongside the launch of the Pixel 7a and Pixel Fold, we’ll get a preview of this new feature at the Google I/O developer conference on May 10th.
