The most important Android updates of the week come from Microsoft and Google. So the Android subsystem for Windows is updated to 12L and there is a new beta version of Android 13.
- Microsoft has updated the Android subsystem for Windows to Android 12L.
- The software is scheduled to be released in Germany in 2022.
- Google is releasing a bug-fixed new beta of Android 13.
Few Android updates were distributed this week. One concerns Windows 11, or more precisely, the Android subsystem for Windows, which allows the operating system to run Android apps natively.
As Microsoft announces, this has now been updated to the new Android 12L version. For the time being, however, the subsystem is only available in the USA; it is scheduled to appear in Germany later this year.
Google also distributed an update to Pixel phones this week. It is a bug-fixed version of the second Android 13 beta. According to the changelog, a problem with Android Auto and an error that caused devices to crash when the hotspot function was activated were fixed, among other things.
