Nintendo has updated the usability terms for Animal Crossing: New Horizons and states that each console allows only one island, regardless of the number of user accounts on the Switch console.
Originally mentioned Animal Crossing: New Horizons In the announcement, there can only be one island per account, but the updated availability clause states that there is only one island per Switch console.
As noticed by GamesRadar, this clause specifies the following:
It wrote: "There can only be one island per Nintendo Switch console, regardless of the number of user accounts or game copies registered on one console.
"Each unique island requires a Nintendo Switch and a copy of the game."
In other words, if you share a Switch with others in your family, you won't be able to create islands for each profile.
"Animal Crossing": "New Horizons" will land on Switch on March 20th, and allows up to 4 local players and up to 8 online players.
