Rockstar surprises us with another of its cult games. It’s not quite what fans are expecting, but they should still like it.
While the entire focus has been on GTA 6 for several months, RockstarGames manages to surprise us with other of its cult games. Just recently, the long-awaited release of Red Dead Redemption was leaked first on PC, which is really good news for millions of gamers. But this evening, it was another unforgettable game from the star-studded company that woke up the internet. Get ready!
A flagship Rockstar game is about to make a comeback
Firstly, it is not usual for a video game classification body to publish a new version. And in this case it would be more of an exit. In fact, the Taiwanese Digital Games Evaluation Committee just listed a popular Rockstar game in the new media.
It’s about Bully – Scholarship Editionin the English Channel also known as Canis Canem Edit. The title was originally released in 2006 on PS2, and was re-released in 2008 on PC, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii. The game invites us into the daily life of Jimmy Hopkins and immerses us in a school where rival gangs fight each other with all kinds of silly things.
Very well received by the public, many are hoping for a second part. Despite the rumors, we are not there yet… Otherwise, some would at least like to see a remake or remaster see the light of day. This new classification could therefore restore confidence in some, but does not quite meet their expectations.
The return of Bully… the old-fashioned way
The Taiwanese organization therefore listed Bully on the list latest consoles from Sony (PS4 and PS5) and Microsoft (Xbox One and series). But let’s not jump for joy just yet. This appearance of the Rockstar title on new media does not necessarily mean a redesign of the game. In fact, it is almost certain that this is not the case.
In fact, the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee had already leaked a whole series of games before, such as Metal Gear Solid. But it also happens that these are newly arriving titles Subscription servicessuch as PlayStation Plus.
Everything indicates that this would be the case here too. As already announced in the past, Bully will be released soon and will not be a remake or remaster 19 August 2024 in the GTA+This Rockstar-specific service allows subscribers to benefit from in-game advantages, but also access games on demand. Good news for subscribers, then, even if some continue to hope for a real graphical and technical overhaul of the game.
