According to US insiders, another “Star Wars” star is said to have switched to Marvel and the MCU. You can find out who it is and what else is known about it at Netzwelt.
- John Boyega (Finn) is said to have secretly been in front of the camera for a Marvel project.
- That’s what US industry insiders want to know.
- In particular, “Black Panther 2”, which will be released in November, is a hot candidate here.
In a galaxy far, far away, John Boyega wasn’t always happy. In the sequel trilogy consisting of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”, “The Last Jedi” and “The Rise of Skywalker” Boyega embodied the converted Stormtrooper Finn – and, among other things, publicly complained that his role from film to film got smaller.

Apparently that doesn’t stop him from getting into the second huge Disney franchise. As the US industry insiders from Giant Freakin Robot want to find out, John Boyega is said to have secretly stood in front of the camera for an MCU project.
Unfortunately, the US experts don’t know exactly what role Boyega will play in the MCU. It was not even possible to find out whether it was a movie or a series on Disney+.
That role could be played by John Boyega in the MCU
Given the Marvel Multiverse, Giant Freakin Robot literally states Boyega “could play anything from an Eternal to a mutant to an Inhuman.” A “variant of Bruce Banner” seems just as possible here as a “variant of Tony Stark, the Black Panther or Drax.”
Among other things, the “Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever” starting on November 10, 2022 – according to the current release plan – seems to be an option here. Because John Boyega, who has also appeared as an activist in the Black Lives Matter movement, raved last year in the highest tones of Marvel, and particularly their ability to “elevate” Black characters.
Of course, John Boyega would not be the first “Star Wars” star to move to Marvel and the MCU. Recently, for example, Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron in the sequel trilogy), who could be admired in his own series “Moon Knight” on Disney +, did this.
