According to a renowned leaker, fans of the long-running battle royale Apex Legends have reason to be happy: a fresh game mode is apparently about to be released.
In Apex Legends you can probably look forward to a new game mode in the foreseeable future. In the upcoming Season 21, which is expected to start around May 7, 2024, there will be a new quads mode as well as new weapons and more as part of a larger update.
It had previously been made public in an earlier leak that the 21st season of the game would also bring a new character named Alter. This should provide your team with fresh options for retreat and ways out of dangerous game situations using their abilities.
Now Twitter user and Apex Legends leaker Osvaldatore is also reporting that there will also be a Solos and a new Quads mode this season. According to this, these are not even modes that are available for a limited time, but perhaps even permanent game options.
If it really happens that way, then the new Solos and Quads modes would be quite a surprise. It was generally assumed that Apex Legends would remain exclusively true to the Trios mode in the future, especially since lead designer Devan McGuire emphasized in January that there were no plans for a Solos mode. At least one such option was available for a limited time in 2019 – and now there could be a comeback.
In addition, according to Osvaldatore, there will also be akimbo versions of the P2020 and the Mozambique on the weapons front. It is still unclear whether the akimbo versions can be equipped with additional gadgets. Official confirmation in the form of an announcement for Season 21 is still pending.
