Just before the year is out, Sega and Creative Assembly are giving players even more opportunities to experience the studio’s upcoming multiplayer shooter in time for, hyena. This is the biggest alpha weekend for the game, which means it will be open to more players.
You’ll still need an invite since this isn’t an open beta, but your chances of getting in are much higher this time around.
Hyenas alpha 1.10 testing starts tomorrow (2nd December) 1pm PT, 4pm ET, 9pm UK. It’s available until Sunday, December 4th 1am PT, 4am ET, 9am UK. If you’ve played this game before, you’ll notice several UI, HUD, and gameplay updates from previous versions.
Unfortunately, registration is only open to those in the US, Canada, EU, and Brazil, even though you need an invite to play. You can register for Hyenas alpha on the official website.
The zero-gravity shooter released a brief trailer last summer that featured a number of iconic Sega characters. In Hyenas, a team of three players attempts to steal pop culture merchandise from a guarded ship.
All the while, you’ll be dealing with traps, AI enemies, and other players in similar missions. This is a very unusual project for Creative Assembly – even with previous experience with Alien: Isolation, Dom saw it at gamescom and thought there might be something to it – although we obviously need to see/play More.
Hyenas will launch on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S sometime next year.
