Can The Witcher 3 actually get any better? The recently released Next Gen Update showed: Yes! The role-playing game has been looking better than ever for a few weeks and uses mods created by fans, among other things. Apparently that’s still not enough.
A new version of a popular graphics mod for The Witcher 3 has already been announced, which aims to make the masterpiece even more beautiful. It’s actually a new version of one of the mods that helped create the next-gen update.
The Witcher 3 will be even more beautiful
Exactly, that’s what this is about HD rework project by Halk Hogan. He was already responsible for the original version, which was well received by The Witcher 3 fans. As mentioned, the rework is now an integral part of the game, since it was automatically integrated as part of the new updates. However, in a video on his YouTube channel, the modder announced that he is already working on an extended version of his mod, which should make the already crisp textures of the next gen version look even crisper.
However, Halk Hogan has nothing to show for it, so far there is only a first teaser, but which does not yet contain any scenes from the revised version. In a comment below the video, the developer says about the mod:
»Hello witcher!
Yes, the history of HDRP is not over yet.
I can tell you that the next HDRP version called NextGen Edition is very big, the list of changes and improvements is really long, and the quality of the assets is on a much higher level than the last version (12.0 Ultimate). I look forward to sharing the result with you. The targeted version for the new HDRP is the Next Gen Update (4.0), but a version for 1.31/1.32 is also possible.«
Towards the end, the teaser promises a release in the second quarter of 2023. It is therefore possible that The Witcher 3 will already look a whole lot better in April than it does now. You can read how much we like the game after the next-gen update in our post-test:
