Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate is over seven years old, but Ubisoft has released a new patch and PS5 owners will be particularly pleased.
Suddenly and rather unexpectedly, Ubisoft has released a new patch for the venerable Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate. The update runs under version number 1.53 and was apparently only imported for the Playstation 4 version of the game. Not without reason, because the Playstation version had an extremely annoying bug.
The flickering problems fixed by the update when using backwards compatibility, i.e. playing the PS4 version on PS5, allegedly made Assassin’s Creed Syndicate almost unplayable on PS5. The update does not contain any other fixes and has apparently not been released for the other platforms that do not suffer from the problem.
Ubisoft seems to be doing a lot of cleaning up at the moment. Just this week, a final patch for Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla was released, which fixes the remaining problems. Seems like Ubisoft is doing the last necessary tasks to then fully devote itself to the upcoming titles in the series.
In addition to Assassin’s Creed: Mirage, which is slated for release this year but has no date yet, three other titles are in the works, codenamed RED, HEXE, and JADE, to be released in the coming years. At least for Mirage, we should probably see new information or new material around E3 in June at the latest. Maybe there will be a specific date for AC: Mirage.
