Just like Ubisoft I announced yesterday after the peculiar teaser of Assassin's Creed: ValhallaToday we were able to see the first kinematic trailer of this new installment of the action saga of the French company. Without showing the gameplay of the title yet, in this new video -which you can see under these lines- several details have been dropped about its main mechanics, as well as its launch in late 2020 on Xbox Series X, PS5, Xbox One, PS4, Stadia, and PC (Exclusively at Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store).
Hidden Blade and RPG elements return
Finally Assassin's Creed: Valhalla confirms his Nordic setting in which we will have an important weight as Eivor, a Viking legend in search of glory during the 9th century invasion of England. During the cinematic trailer that Ubisoft has shown, it was possible to see a open field battle in which the protagonist himself, armed with an ax in each hand
In addition to the brute force of the two axes, one of the most iconic weapons in the series has made an appearance: it is the hidden sheet, a device that for reasons of lore had not appeared in the franchise since Assassin's Creed: Syndicate and now it comes back in a Nordic style with the blade above the forearm, instead of below.
It is also confirmed that this game get back to RPG mechanics like the two previous installments of the saga (Assassin's Creed: Origins and Assassin's Creed: Odissey), with great importance of Viking looting against Saxon fortresses and troops not only to gain wealth but also to prosper your settlement and consolidate your political power.
From Ubisoft define the open world of this video game as "beautiful, mysterious and changing", where the handling of drakar -the quintessential vinkingo ship- being key in the incursions that we can carry out from the coasts of Norway to the kingdoms of England.
