Assetto Corsa Evo: This is how the racing simulation continues

Assetto, continues, Corsa, EVO, racing, Simulation

Assetto Corsa actually has a good reputation at Rennsim fans, but Assetto Corsa Evo doesn't really come out of the shower. Now there is an outlook on upcoming content.

The name Assetto Corsa is commented on by most racing game fans with an appreciative tongue snap, as the series has earned a good reputation in recent years. There was therefore also great hope for the Early Access from Assetto Corsa Evo, but it still has a record.

On Steam, just a little more than half of the players are positive, the rest finds plenty of reasons for dissatisfaction, whereby, among other things, technical aspects are in the foreground.

In a video along with Devblog, executive managers and studio founder Marco Massarutto has now commented on what is on the list for racing simulation and that is a lot.

Accordingly, the new open fashion will soon come, which allows you to drive without an online connection. “At the same time, your journey and your driver's progress in AC Evo will continue in career mode, the progress, economy in the game and the driving school. All of this will be possible without the need for a constant connection to backend services,” said Massarutto. Special events that require an internet connection – similar to our previous title Assetto Corsa Competizione – will be available in both open and career mode.

On the technical side, there should be general performance improvements, as well as further optimizations and also on criticized VR mode and the general stability, which is also urgently needed, according to the Steam reviews. The driver AI should also be revised and the interface is also talked about.

In summer, a first public multiplayer version with revised netcode and other optimizations should also follow as part of the third early access releases. A number of new vehicles should also come into play. In the end, the team also wants to make the modding tools available as part of the early access before the final release.

A more concrete roadmap should follow soon. At least seems as if the criticism has already started a lot on the part of the players.
