Atomic heartthe first-person shooter set in another Soviet Union in the 1950s, has received a new combat trailer on Gamescom to show you what you’ll be fighting for.
Atomic Heart’s latest trailer shows off some gameplay that looks a bit like fall outA little bit shameAnother point Bioshockcombined to form something that looks like you’ll have plenty of options, at least when it comes to shooting and destroying various types of bots.
Gameplay, like many of the previous games, consists mostly of shooting objects with the many guns at your disposal, but sometimes you can also wield a melee weapon and slice the robot in half.
Weapons appear to include things like pistols, machine guns, and spears that can deform at the tip. There are also abilities you can use that seem like they’ll be the most fun. One force appears to be some kind of shield, another emits an icy mist, and another still shows the player using telepathy to lift a whole bunch of enemies.
It seems like you can also mix and match the powers a little bit, as part of the game shows you lifting some enemies into the air, then freezing them, so you might just have fun with them.
The trailer features a bizarre, somewhat sexy dance between two woman-looking robots, showing one robot turning hair into unicorn horns and inserting it into another robot’s stomach. Not sure what that means, but hey ho, that’s a video game!
Elsewhere at Gamescom, Dead Island 2 returns from Dead Island 2 after an astonishing eight-year hiatus, and now it has an actual release date. We even got to see some gameplay, so at least it does look like a real game to play.
