Much more was added later with the PS5 and Xbox Series. If we thought that the developers would take a few months of vacation between updates, the opposite is the case. The CEO of Larian is already announcing a big surprise.
A surprising collaboration for Baldur’s Gate 3?
The question from Swen Vincke, CEO of Larian Studios, is very simple. Should Baldur’s Gate 3 collaborate with Vampire Survivors: Yes or Fuck Yes? Not surprisingly, it is the yes that wins and formalizes the first major crossover of Goty 2023. While such collaborations are quite common in the industry, we didn’t necessarily imagine the Larian studio taking the plunge. Still, fans are excited because this surprise poll suggests that work between the two titles has already secretly begun. It will still be necessary to wait several months until the result becomes visible.
If Vampires Survivors was a phenomenal breakthrough upon its release, it has a smaller budget than Baldur’s Gate 3, which doesn’t necessarily suggest a historical crossover. However, quality has become a hallmark of the Poncle studio, which we will certainly find again in this new partnership. Remember that the title managed to be among the best indie games of 2022 thanks to its 181,000 extremely positive user reviews. The software, which mixes survival, roguelite and horror, had already achieved an amazing collaboration with Among us. It changed the appearance of characters and maps. We can therefore assume that their duo with Studio Larian will deliver a similar result.
