Baldur’s Gate 3 is receiving a new patch for PC and consoles with some expected changes, especially for PS5 for now.
The GOTY 2023 has not lost its shine and its developers are still behind it to make a variety of changes and other adjustments. A wealth of free content that has already changed the game, and yet Baldur’s Gate 3 was very generous from the start. A gigantic update was recently released, which especially adds everything that mod lovers like. Since then, Larian Studio has continued to refine its product with many patches here and there, such as this new Hotfix #28.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Hotfix #28 is live, here’s what changes
In this new patch, Baldur’s Gate 3 fixes several unwanted crashes that could occur in rare cases, but also several other more or less serious bugs, especially on home consoles. But it’s the mods that are in the studio’s crosshairs, again mainly on the console and, more precisely, on the PS5. On the Sony console, the mod manager tended to act a bit. Bugs, crashes, loading and downloading issues… it was a bit hellish in several ways, but this Hotfix #28 should fix that once and for all.
We leave you here the entire patch notes translated into French. You can find the English version directly on the Page Steam de Baldur’s Gate 3.
MODDING
- Baldur’s Gate 3 PS5: The Next button now works the same as the Load Game screen, meaning you won’t be able to start a game if there are mod issues.
- When you load a save on console that has unresolved issues with specific mods, the review window will no longer prompt you to re-download or uninstall mods if that action has already been completed.
- Fixed an issue where mods were not loading in the correct order after some of them were enabled/disabled.
Mod manager of Baldur’s Gate 3 on consoles and PC
- Fixed an issue where the animated download bar was not displayed in the Review Changes window after clicking Download.
- Fixed an issue where the horizontal scrollbar on the Module Details page was not vertically centered between the surrounding arrows.
- Fixed a bug that prevented you from opening the Mod Manager on PC when using a controller.
- Fixed: Button prompts on the Change Details page updated incorrectly when using a controller.
- Fixed filter tags in Mod Manager not appearing in localized languages and ensured that the English string is displayed as a backup in case of translation recovery issues.
- The mod browser scrollbar now resets to the top when navigating to the previous or next page.
- Baldur’s Gate 3 PS5: The mod manager now correctly displays the amount of memory remaining after uninstalling a mod.
GAME
- Improved loading times for players with many mods installed.
- You can no longer add items to your goods, even if they cannot become basic goods (e.g. pact weapons), by selecting them together with another item that can become a commodity. This avoids a bug exploit that allows you to sell your items without the linked items leaving your inventory. Do you have any others like this in your boxes?
- Fixed: Honor Mode features, such as Legendary Actions, could carry over to non-Honor Mode games if you already loaded an Honor Mode save.
- Baldur’s Gate 3 PS5: Fixed an issue where the DualSense light bar colors would update every frame of the game when a new user logs in with a new controller.
- Fixed an issue where Wyll would choose negative greeting nodes even if he liked you.
- Fixed character model lag in the trading interface when switching from trading to bartering with a controller.
crashes and others
- Fixed a crash when attempting to load a Bladur’s Gate 3 campaign rather than a specific save within the same campaign.
- Fixed a crash that could occur when loading a save game.
- On PS5, fixed a possible crash when using the DualSense light bar in Disco Mode.
