A developer responsible for integrating Baldur’s Gate 3’s great companions and romance quests has revealed that they have no problem with the game’s fun sexual pleasures.

In an interview with Inverse, Baudelaire Welch, lead designer of companion characters and romance quests in the game, discussed their feelings about people on the internet competing to sleep with characters they created.
“They deconstruct the way romance is presented in games by abstracting it into something ridiculous. I welcome that,” Welch said of the raunchy matches, adding: “It makes those scenes look It’s more ridiculous, which is awesome for me.”
