After the remake of the RPG classic Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance, the sequel follows; Black Isle Studios has now confirmed this.
Black Isle Studios has confirmed that the acti on RPG classic Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance II will be re-released; The game will – like the first part – now open on the PC and on more recent consoles.
The original Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance was considered one of the classics in the hack’n’slash genre; To the delight of many fans, the title was released for current plat forms last year – garnished with 4K resolution and modern features such as achievements. However, it was not a complete remaster.
After the re-release of the first part, the sequel is to follow this year. An implementation for PC and newer consoles was announced by the developers via Twitter, but a more specific release date was not initially given. Even the exact platforms are currently left open, but it can be assumed that PlayStation and Xbox will be used again in addition to the PC.
The re-release of the first part was also announced for Switch, but due to unexpected problems, the publication had to be postponed. This was made up for, so that the Nintendo console is probably also a candidate for the new edition of part 2.
Since the announcement also includes the words “sooner than you think”, the release might not be long in coming. We’ll keep you up to date!
