On June 18th, you mentioned the upcoming arrival of a “Panel From Hell” livestream devoted to the upcoming changes to Baldur’s Gate III, which is currently in Early Access. Swen Vincke therefore stepped in front of the camera to detail the content of this famous update.

With this patch 5, the teams at Larian Studios have decided to set up a fairly large project to balance and strengthen the gaming experience.

. In this update, many elements of a small revision are offered, such as the point’n click dialogues, the non-lethal attack mode and many others.

In this extensive change work, a few points should be emphasized that have a very special meaning. In general, all of the AI has been tweaked and both allies and enemies will benefit from these adjustments.

Indeed, smarter and more cunning, Your opponents can now restore a weapon if they run out or heal their companions if they are affected. However, to get out of a complicated situation, Your companions can now choose to make safer and more consistent decisions.

Another detail about this patch 5, Baldur’s Gate III has a new user interface for skill checks.

What should i call? The Active Rolling System gives players more freedom when they want to test their character’s abilities. Spells and bonuses now apply to skill tests, and status modifiers and effects can be viewed directly in the user interface.

Patch 5 introduces a new feature that is less technical this time: the “historical goals”. This aims in particular to develop the role play aspect about the character we embody. By going beyond the story of his avatar, Players are now encouraged to follow secret mini-quests on their story for rewards.

After all, the supplies you collect during your adventure are vital if you offer a bit of quiet by the fireplace. Hence, resources and other supplies are needed to build a proper camp.. Therefore, full recovery is not possible without a substantial supply! In addition, the patch introduces “mini-camps” that adapt to the context in which you are.
