Baldur's Gate III's great role-playing game hope initially has no fixed release date; that did not change yesterday's presentation at PAX East. The fact is, however, that there will still be an early access version in 2020, which of course does not yet include the full game, but will be gradually added.
On the occasion of the first gameplay presentation, the creators have now only published information about this planned early access version on the PC. Accordingly, there should initially only be access to five companions in the role play; more will then only be added gradually. In addition, there will also be the opportunity to create your own characters later.
"The reason we start selling it through early access is that there are so many changes and systems that all work together. It will take us some time to get everything to a stage that we will say : 'Ok, now it's robust and it works in every single way.' "Said CEO Swen Vincke.
The later full version, which will probably not be available before 2021, should then offer you over 100 hours of gameplay, 15 races and sub-races as well as eight classes.
The whole game focuses on turn-based processes. The fights are handled this way anyway, but you can switch to a turn-based procedure in other situations. The fact is: The complete role-playing game will be completely turn-based from start to finish.
Baldur's Gate III also differs from previous series offshoots in this respect, because back then the fights were not turn-based. Instead, they ran in real time and only offered a pause option.
