TaleWorlds Entertainment noted on Twitter that Mount and Blade had become the biggest launch of 2020 on Steam when it reached 145,000 simultaneous players. The figure continued to grow to 172,030, becoming the third most played game on the platform.

The maximum number of simultaneous players is currently 178,562, making it a success. It should be noted that Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord is currently in Early Access, so it is not yet fully released. The developers have revealed that plan to remain in this Early Access state for one year
