EA’s current shooter Battlefield 2042 is generally considered a flop and doesn’t have too many players to offer. That could change again soon – thanks to the integration with Xbox Game Pass. There are now fresh rumors about such a thing.
After a rather rough start in November, Battlefield 2042 has not really established itself and has, for example, quite sobering player numbers on Steam. Since there were many problems at the start, new content was initially postponed to summer 2022 so that the developers can devote themselves to fixing the bug.
Due to the overall situation, many players have already turned their backs on the shooter. For example, Battlefield 2042 has not been in the top 100 on Steam for a long time; on the PC there are hardly 10,000 players who would gamble at the same time. In order to change that in general, EA now seems to be taking other paths. There are growing signs that Battlefield 2042 could become part of Xbox Game Pass relatively soon after release.
As is well known, the Xbox Game Pass has integrated the in-house EA subscription service EA Play and it can be assumed that Battlefield 2042 will be launched there in the near future. In the Polish version of the Xbox Store, the product page has recently undergone an update. There was a badge next to Battlefield 2042 that said the title was part of the Xbox Game Pass.
Although the Xbox Store in Poland was/is ahead of its time and an official confirmation is still pending, the chances seem good that Battlefield 2042 will actually work in Game Pass or EA Play in the coming days and weeks. Would you check out the shooter then and give it a shot?
