EA CEO Andrew Wilson commented on the topic on the occasion of a call to announce the business figures for the current quarter and confirmed that there has never been such a large Battlefield development team as there is now: “This is the largest Battlefield team in “I visited the team a few weeks ago and I couldn’t be more excited about the things they showed and what we were able to play.”
Wilson is also raising a certain level of expectation for the ambitious shooter project, which, according to the CEO, will continue to be a “tremendous live service game”. Motive, the studio behind Star Wars: Squadrons and the remake of Dead Space, recently joined the development team in April.
Rumor has it that the new game could be presented in 2024. It was previously announced that Battlefield 2042 would end after the current Season 7.
