Since Diablo 4 has been talked about, the topic of a closed beta has been coming up again and again. Already a few months ago there was confusion about the possibility to register for a beta. Now something has happened again. Since June 12, 2022, namely the official website changed a little.
Recently, a large red button has been emblazoned directly on the start page in the middle of the screen. It says: »Pre-register now«.
What happens when you sign up? If you press the button, you have to log in with your Battle.net account. After that, there is a message from the website that this account can be selected for future betas and will be notified of the latest Diablo 4 information.
What does that mean?
In fact, being able to opt-in to future Diablo 4 betas isn’t entirely new. This has been possible for a long time. However, this registration so far only included a subscription to the newsletter, which in turn will inform you as soon as a beta for Diablo 4 is planned.
Lawsuit against Activision Blizzard Activision Blizzard is currently facing a lawsuit alleging sexism and unequal treatment of female employees. If the grievances play a role in your purchase decision, we have summarized all the information on the sexism lawsuit in a detailed article for you. So at this point in time, we can’t unequivocally admit that the change on the website means that a beta for Diablo 4 is in the starting blocks. There has not yet been any official confirmation and nothing is known about the framework details of such a beta test.
What we know is: According to a recent financial report from Activision Blizzard, Diablo 4 has reached a new development milestone and is currently undergoing internal testing. Due to the state of development, it would be quite conceivable that Blizzard would soon also release external candidates for a beta test.

New information on the Xbox Showcase?
The fact that the Diablo 4 website was revised today, June 12, 2022, is also a strange step for many fans. After all, Blizzard has not yet made any new announcement. But some fans don’t think it’s a coincidence. After all, the big Xbox Showcase is taking place tonight at 7 p.m. You can find more information about this event here.
Some suspect that Diablo 4 will also get a new trailer there and that the date for the closed beta may even be announced here. The Xbox Showcase would also be a suitable place since Microsoft announced earlier this year that it would take over Activision Blizzard in a huge deal. However, this takeover is not yet officially complete.
