Bethesda has announced in the Fallout official website that there will be more news about Wastelanders, the next update of Fallout 76, soon. In fact, On Tuesday 4 a trailer with the main news will be published. However, the company has decided to talk about the reputation system.
Thus, last week Bethesda presented the two main factions that will arrive in Appalachia with the update: settlers and looters. Now, we also know that the new reputation system will allow players to move from complete strangers to confidants.
The thing works like this, when the player meets the settlers or looters for the first time, they will be reluctant to let us get into their affairs. Nevertheless, As we help one of these factions, either destroying her enemies or carrying out missions for her, we will gain her trust and our reputation will improve
To increase our level we can choose to carry out main missions that will obviously provide us with a great amount of reputation. There will also be daily missions or decisions to make in conversations, but it will not help to level up.
As the level of reputation with looters and settlers increases, the inhabitants of Crater or Foundation (as the case may be) will be friendlier to us and the vendors will have a greater variety of products. In the same way, when we complete specific content of the story we will unlock access to new vendors of specific plans of the faction
At all times we can check the situation with respect to the two factions from the social menu. At the top, near the account name, there will be an icon for each faction that will indicate what level of reputation we have at that time. Clicking on it will open a window with detailed information of the current level and what we have left to get to the next.
