Game News Bioshock 4 accelerates its development: the studio is “recruiting like crazy” and we even have some bonus information!
BioShock 4 will definitely be a new video game set in Arlesienne: however, the studio has just announced some reassuring news.
A long-term project
The Bioshock saga is a true gem among video games: a cult trilogy whose development is also full of twists in each episode (we also granted one). JV Legends on this topic) and was enthusiastic about its reception. It is simply : 2K Games has one of the highest quality and most appreciated sagas in the Tenth Art… despite the fact that it’s been eleven years since a game was released.
So, determined to take advantage of this dormant franchise a littlethe company has given the green light to start building a brand new title. The Cloud Chamber Studio was designed for this purposewhich brings together former BioShock developers (among others) for this new project that’s been in development for… five years, no less. And we still haven’t seen any color.
Next Step
It must be said that with BioShock, the aim is not to damage the legacy of the franchise, which, by the way, no longer benefits from its creator Ken Levine, who is currently working on the tantalizing Judas with his own independent studio. In addition, recent times have been disastrous for the video game industry, with numerous closures and layoffs: who knows what internal challenges Cloud Chamber must have gone through.
What does that matter now? The company admits it is ready to move “to the next level.” News that is reassuring in the face of cancellation rumors and therefore revolves around about thirty vacancies: animators, programmers, producer, senior screenwriter… The studio is recruiting heavily, but this also indicates that the pregnancy is far from over.
As a reminder, the VGC investigation decided on a city in Antarctica in the 1960s as the main setting. There are also rumors about an open world and Unreal Engine 5. We will wait patiently (again) before deciding, and let us highlight, in passing, the development of a film adaptation by Netflix that is still in the works.
