The once popular shooter series BioShock is to be continued after years of abstinence – and the team around the otherwise nameless BioShock 4 has now received a prominent newcomer.
Accordingly, the latest BioShock should also be able to convince in terms of story, which is why the team has once again been prominently increased at this point. You could now win over a writer who previously worked in this capacity on the Sony blockbuster Ghost of Tsushima, for example.
In this case, we are talking about Liz Albl, who will take over the position of Narrative Lead at Cloud Chamber in the future, meaning that she will be in charge of shaping the plot of the next BioShock. She announced this herself via Twitter.
“The dream has come true! I’m excited to announce that I’ve joined Cloud Chamber as a narrative lead on BioShock,” Albl said on the short message service.
The writer has a very respectable CV in the gaming area, because as a writer she was not only involved in Ghost of Tsushima, but also in Far Cry 6 or Watch_Dogs: Legion and other titles.
It is currently not known where the new shooter part is currently in development, because the title has not been heard from for a long time. There were last indications of the direction of the new BioShock in 2020 based on job advertisements; there was also reference to RPG elements. Then last year there was an unconfirmed report about the potential setting. The shooter is said to be set in a fictional Antarctic city in the 1960s, which would also clearly differentiate it from its predecessors in terms of climate.
