Black Friday at MediaMarkt: Retailer cancels VAT

• From October 24, 2024 at 8 p.m. to October 28, 2024 at 6:59 a.m., Media Markt is canceling VAT for certain products.

• Some manufacturers, products and services are excluded from the promotion.

From the October 24th from 8 p.m until October 28th until 6:59 a.m Media Markt is once again eliminating VAT on various products. This means you get discounts that are otherwise only available on Black Friday. This applies not only to the online shop, but also to local markets in the city and even to Saturn. If you don’t want to wait that long, you can start saving on October 24th from 7 a.m. using the Media Markt app.

The refund of VAT suggests a discount of 19 percent. In fact, you get a discount on the purchase price of 15.966 percent. This is because VAT is added to the net price of an item. If you get it refunded now, you will receive a discount of almost 16 percent on the gross price. In return, Media Markt also grants you the discount on products with a reduced VAT of seven percent.

Make sure, especially in the online shop, that the discount can be deducted at different points. If you buy online, the price will either appear as a deduction in the shopping cart or will be displayed directly on the respective product page.
