The action hit Black Myth: Wukong has achieved an impressive mark in its first month since release.
Black Myth: Wukong hit PlayStation 5 and PC like a bomb, drawing gamers in droves. This is now also reflected in a new and impressive milestone, which the game has already reached one month after its release.
As Ken Kutaragi confirmed during a presentation at the Tokyo Game Show in Japan, Black Myth: Wukong sold a whopping 20 million copies in the first month of sales alone – a great value! The 10 million mark had previously been broken within three days of publication. At its peak, there were more than 3 million players playing the title at the same time across both platforms.
The Steam database shows that the peak in this regard on the PC was just over 2.4 million players. Accordingly, at least around 600,000 gamers must have played Black Myth: Wukong at the same time on the PlayStation 5, for which no separate and detailed statistics are published. The majority of the title’s players were obviously on the PC.
Either way: 20 million sales in the first month make Black Myth: Wukong one of the fastest-selling video games ever. And the reviews are also good, with the game receiving a score of 81/100 on the PC and 75/100 on the PS5 on Metacritic.
