Ahead of the gameplay debut of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s Zombies mode later this week, Treyarch has released a cinematic trailer that sets the stage for the return of the popular co-op mode. The trailer serves as the opening cinematic for the Zombies mode, introducing the characters we’ll be picking up and establishing the state of the world.
Black Ops 6 Zombies is set in the Dark Aether storyline, which takes place five years after the events of Black Ops Cold War, with former members of Requiem escaping from Terminus Island, where they were held captive for years.

Treyarch says that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies will feature two turn-based maps at launch, which will likely include Terminus Island and a West Virginia town called Liberty Falls – both of which will see eruptions of the Dark Aether as the heroes begin their escape.
Edward Rich tofen is revealed to be the project director who ordered the arrest of the Requiem members, and he plays the villain again in this chapter. Grigori Weaver, Mackenzie “Mac” Carver, Elizabeth Grey, Oskar Strauss, and Stoney “Raptor One” Maddox are the protagonists this time, and we will see them in the trailer. They will be joined by newcomer Maya Aguinaldo, a Filipino smuggler who has her own reasons for coming to the island.
The big game content will be revealed tomorrow (August 8). 8am PT, 11am ET, 4pm UKwe’ll get an overview of the game, a pre-game lobby, and some of the undead we’ll be taking on. This is going to be a big day for turn-based zombies fans, especially since the Classic mode has been gone for a few years now. As always, we’ll be here to bring you all the details.
After that, the next big moment for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be the game’s beta test, which will take place at the end of August. Call of Duty: Next will be released on August 28 (a few days before the beta begins), which will include a detailed look at multiplayer gameplay and the latest updates on Warzone.
