Blizzard promises it’s still fixing PS5 licensing bug for Diablo 4

A license bug affecting Diablo 4 meant some players couldn’t consistently play the game, but Blizzard said it was still investigating the bug.

If you’ve been playing Diablo 4, then you may have encountered a screen telling you that your copy of the game was unable to find a valid license for the game, also known as error 315306. This is an annoying bug and only appears when the game’s servers are unavailable, but it has been an issue for many players since the game’s beta. On Twitter, though, Blizzard customer support shared that it’s “still looking into” the issue, so hopefully there’s a fix soon (thanks Eurogamer).

“We are still investigating reports of people receiving this bug,” Blizzard customer support wrote in response to a player facing the issue. “Diablo community managers are asking players to submit a ticket with their PSN ID.” Previously, community manager PezRadar said the issue had been resolved, but apparently some issues still persist.

This problem affects all platforms, but it’s the hardest to deal with on PlayStation – there are workarounds for the problem on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation, but on the latter you have to go through the awkward download process for a game you haven’t downloaded before, or even Buy items directly from the console’s storefront.

Diablo 4 did receive a hotfix recently, but it didn’t fix the issue. It’s not a huge change, mostly changing class cooldowns, but also making endgames harder by increasing the health of higher world tier monsters.

Connor of iGamesNews reviewed the latest game in the action-RPG series, giving the game a 4/5, emphasizing the equally good action and strong story, but criticizing the open-world structure and some serious mistakes.
