One of the bloodiest anime of recent years is back: Goblin Slayer Season 2 is entitled to a new trailer.
Goblin Slayer Season 2 is approaching! A new trailer has been released on Crunchyroll’s channel which, as you’d expect, will take care of offering the new episodes on its platform at a date to be determined later this year. For those who don’t know: Goblin Slayer takes place in a dark fantasy universe in which many adventurers embark on a quest for fortune and fame. As a warrior, he has only one idea in mind: the extermination of goblins, terribly cruel creatures.
On the frontier, a guild member accomplished a feat few can match: he became a knight of silver rank simply by hunting goblins. The priestess, an inexperienced adventuress, has barely embarked on her first adventure when her life is in danger. A man comes to her aid. It’s called Goblin Crumble. Note that if Season 1 was produced by White Fox, Liden Films is now producing Season 2. The studio is responsible for Berserk, Tokyo Revengers, Call of the Night and The Legendary Hero is Dead.
And where does Goblin Slayer come from?
This hyper-gory anime is originally a light novel written by Kumo Kagyu and illustrated by Noboru Kannatsuki. The saga published since February 2016 has been adapted into a manga since May 2016 and appeared in Monthly Big Gangan. A total of 13 bound volumes (for 16 light novels) are currently available, and in parallel, between May 2018 and May 2019, a second ‘paper version’, totaling two volumes, will be produced by Masahiro Ikeno. Goblin Slayer will be entitled to its anime piloted by the White Fox house in December 2018 (Steins;Gate, Re:Zero – Starting Life in Another World, Akame ga Kill!). There was also a movie, Goblin Slayer: Goblin’s Crown (February 2020).
As popular as the series is, it has also generated some controversy, particularly for its brutality: “Goblin Slayer” tells the story of a man’s mission to destroy all the goblins just waiting to rape anyone , whom they have met.
