While waiting for a hypothetical official remaster of Bloodborne, a fan shows off the tremendous work he did on his own redesign, clearly leaving one dreaming.
It's now been almost ten years since Bloodborne brought joy to the PS4, and FromSoftware's unique title remains in a sad state of torpor. Many fans in need have therefore taken it upon themselves to create their own creations around this symbolic title. Between PS1 demake or Mario Kart or Diablo-like adaptations, fromsoftverse's unofficial remaster is the most notable in this area. In an impressive montage, he reported on his enormous progress in modernizing the legendary game.
A Bloodborne remaster created by a larger-than-life fan?
Last week we told you about Softverse's Bloodborne Remaster Project, which debuted in version 0.8. So the talented developer is surely, but surely, moving towards a final version of this project that is obviously very close to his heart. To mark the end of 2024, he has put together a montage highlighting the scope of his work and his progress on this gigantic undertaking.
We see him evolve across various iconic Bloodborne locations, more beautiful than ever before. To say that only one person has achieved this feat is an achievement that deserves absolute applause. Note that the unofficial remaster is technically already playable, even in its unfinalized version. However, you have to go through the emulator to do this ShadPS4and of course own a copy of the original game, at the risk of being penalized for piracy.
In any case, the question arises as to what an official remaster or remake of Bloodborne could bring, which is still eagerly desired. Despite numerous signs to the contrary, PlayStation has clearly not forgotten this license, namely in relation to its video celebrating its 30th anniversary. With the Japanese giant recently entering into a “business alliance” with Kadokawa, owner of FromSoftware, perhaps there is new hope surrounding Bloodborne? The future will show us.
