Borderlands 3: A real success story for 2K Games

Borderlands, Games, real, story, success

Borderlands 3 has turned out to be a real blockbuster for 2K Games. This is now suggested by new figures, some of which even make the title the most successful in the company’s history.

Take-Two Interactive recently presented new business figures, and of course 2K Games is also part of the group. Above all, the publisher should have been happy about the continued performance of Borderlands 3, because the looter shooter from 2019 continues to turn out to be an absolute stroke of luck.

As the company confirmed in the course of the announcement of business figures, Borderlands 3 has now advanced to the fastest-selling title in its own history. Borderlands 2 and DLCs are still ahead in absolute sales figures, but this title has not cracked previous brands as quickly as Borderlands 3 – and this also applies to all other titles from 2K Games.

How exactly does it look now? By now, nearly 14 million copies of Borderlands 3 have wandered over the counter. The period from the original release in September 2019 to October 2021 is covered. And how much is the current part still missing to catch up with Borderlands 2? The earlier part of the franchise is still clearly ahead with over 25 million sales on the various platforms, but if it continues with Borderlands 3, then this value should also be cracked.

Detached from this, 2K is of course continuing to build on the successful franchise and is next bringing out a spin-off with Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands.
