Borderlands 3 will land on Steam next week, this is the time you can preload

Borderlands 3 will be available on Steam on March 13, and it will be available for pre-orders and preloads starting March 10.

Those purchased in advance Borderlands 3 Games can be preloaded via Steam March 10.

After the game is released, you will be able to start playing on the 13th as soon as possible 7am EST, 10am EST, 3pm UK time, 4pm Central European time.

One of the coolest features of this release is that it lets you play with others who bought games through the Epic Games Store.

With the magic of SHiFT Matchmaking, PC cross-play works between the two versions. The “PC Cross-Play” screen appears when you first launch the game on Steam, and when you launch the game on Epic after installing the new patch. This gives you the option to enable or disable the feature. Disabling this feature will limit you to playing with others on the same PC platform only, but you can always re-enable it through the options menu at any time.

No existing SHiFT account is required to participate in Cross-Play.

Whether you choose to enable or disable cross-play, you will still be prompted to set a PC cross-play display name. This is required for the new SHiFT Matchmaking feature.

Finally, you can also send in-game emails to players on Steam or the Epic Games Store, but they ca n’t be sent when first released. This feature will be implemented in a future update.

If you switch from the game's Epic Games Store version to Steam, you can transfer the saved files. However, this must be done manually, so be careful not to lose your saved files. Backup is your friend.

After the Steam release, Gearbox will post instructions on how to manually transfer saved files.
