As 2K Games announced last night, you can now play Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition for free. The trip to the beginning of the series is not free on all platforms, PC players can get started on Steam and on Xbox One you can also play for free. PS4 players go empty-handed.
The improved version of the original shooter looter, remastered in Ultra HD, includes all four DLC addons; In addition to the main campaign, you can also go to The Zombie Island of Dr. Play Ned, Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot, The Secret Armory of General Knoxx and Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution.
The campaign runs until April 23. Steam ends on the day at 7 p.m. Xbox One players only have until 9 a.m. If you want to buy the game afterwards, you can be happy that all progress is maintained.
The first Borderlands will be released as a 4K edition on April 3, 2019 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
