Exciting news for fans of survival and adventure games: Cairnthe upcoming realistic climbing game from The Game Bakers—creators of Haven and Open—has officially been confirmed for release on PlayStation 5.
Cairn is coming to PS5 & PC, Release Date Unknown
Previously, the studio had only announced a general release on PC and consoles without specifying platforms. With this latest update, we now know Cairn will launch on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam.
Unfortunately, The Game Bakers haven’t shared an exact release date yet. For now, Cairn remains scheduled for a general 2025 launch, meaning players will need to wait a little longer for precise details.
Climb, Survive, and Uncover Mount Kami’s Secrets
Cairn is a survival adventure focused on climbing with realistic mechanics. Players must find the best route, carefully selecting handholds, adjusting posture, managing stamina, and maintaining balance to avoid falling—all through simple and intuitive controls.
The game tells the story of Aava, a skilled mountaineer attempting the first-ever climb of Mount Kami. Throughout this treacherous journey, players will meet unexpected characters and gradually uncover the hidden history and secrets of the mysterious mountain.
