Recent job listings infinity war poland It hints that the studio is working on an open-world role-playing game.
While Infinity Ward Poland is more of a secondary studio to the LA studio and is more focused on R&D, it looks like the studio has some bigger plans. A recent job listing mentioned an unannounced AAA open-world RPG. It’s now been removed, but Twitter user Faizan Shaikh was able to grab some screenshots ahead of it.
“Activision Publishing is looking for a talented and passionate narrative director to conceive, create and direct the execution of stories, dialogue and scenes for an unannounced AAA project,” the job description reads. The role will also put the hire in charge of creating a “cohesive vision of the narrative presentation, its connection to the gaming experience” and directing additional cinematic moments.
The most interesting is what is mentioned in the list of duties: “Your character is to provide the best narrative cinematic experience in an open-world RPG.” Certainly a new genre for Call of Duty developers, the series Usually based on a first-person shooter.
Of course, the job listing doesn’t mention the details of this so-called open-world RPG, so who knows what it’s going to look like. Interestingly, the character is specifically for Infinity Ward Poland, not the main studio. As such, it’s unclear if the R&D studio will make its own games, or if they’ll make both at the same time.
Either way, we know Infinity Ward’s next major project is coming in 2022 Modern Warfare 2. With some new gameplay being shown off at the Summer Games Fest showcase recently, let’s take a look at the Dark Water levels.
Modern Warfare 2 is currently set to launch on October 28 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
