Gaming News Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2: A Return Cult Mission?
If the excellent reboot of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare released in 2019 was emancipated from the original version released in 2007, this does not seem to be the case for its sequel, which will be heavily inspired by a worship mission.
Call of Duty 4 ghost back in Modern Warfare 2?
If the Call of Duty saga quickly made a name for itself, it was only from the cult episode Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare that it managed to conquer everyone. This is one of the reasons why the Activision goose decided to reboot this episode in 2019. But apart from its title, namely the very sober Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, this opus n ultimately copied very little from its predecessor. With Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the sequel to the reboot, expected for October 28, 2022, the American publisher therefore seems to be changing its tune, this time playing with the nostalgic fiber of the fans of the first hour.
Recently, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 campaign footage was leaked, and if you’re a fan of the series, you’ve probably noticed those few seconds where you see a bomb fall from the sky.
This brief passage, available above, undeniably relates to Mission 8 of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, the legendary Death From Above. Just like this work that made the franchise legendary, So it seems that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Vintage 2022 puts us back in the role of a gunner of an AC-130 to flush out enemies preventing ground infantry from advancing.
The cult mission All Ghillied Up is also in the game
This isn’t the first time that this Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 expects to pick up on the great sequences of the 2007 title. Earlier this summer, the game developers also announced that the All Ghillied Up mission, considered by everyone to be the best part of a Call of Duty game, will be remastered in this brand new opus. To communicate the news, Activsion shared an image where we see Captain Price in his iconic outfit.

However, as with the previously mentioned mission, not everything will play out exactly as it did in the 2007 episode. While in the first mission, players will follow Price armed with a sniper rifle through the city of Pripyat after the Chernobyl disaster, this new proposal will take you there warmer Horizons, in Europe.
As a reminder, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is expected to release October 28th on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
