It has long been known that the popular original map of Call of Duty: Warzone, especially Verdansk, is supposed to celebrate a comeback. Activision now goes similar to Epic Games, which celebrated successes with Fortnite OG and the comeback of the first island in the Battle Royale hit immense. Call of Duty: Warzone is now supposed to succeed with the Verdansk return.
The prominent and reliable Leaker Theghostofhope in the past provides further background and information in this context in a new social media post via X. Accordingly, Verdansk should give his comeback in Warzone by reaching Season 03 in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, so it is no longer too long.

Better for nostalgia fans: According to the Leaker, Verdansk largely comes into play in the OG version from March 202, so no major changes are subjected to. The interior of the train station will be blocked, the interior of the stadium is accessible, whereas the stadium roof remains closed. However, there will be no subway system for quick trips.
Activision and Treyarch with Verdansk basically return to the beginning – something that players have explicitly wish since removal of the map in 2021.
