Even before the Marvel & Disney Showcase, it was leaked that Amy Hennig’s new game revolves around Captain America and Black Panther. This is now official.
As already suspected by leaks, a first teaser for the new game by Uncharted author Amy Hennig and Skydance New Media was shown at the Marvel & Disney Showcase in the evening. And as suspected, the game, which has not yet been specifically named, seems to be about Captain America and Black Panther, among other things, who have to deal with Hydra in World War II.
Apparently you visit Paris and Wakanda. It’s also interesting that while Captain America and Black Panther make an appearance towards the end of the teaser, two other heroes complete a group of four described as “king, captain, soldier and spy”. More specifically, the squad consists of young Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America; Azzuri, T’Challa’s grandfather and the WWII Black Panther; Gabriel Jones, a US soldier and member of the Howling Commandos; and Nanali, leader of the fledgling Wakandan spy network.
Sounds like co-op, but according to Skydance, it’s an ensemble narrative adventure where you control that very group of four heroes. However, there is no further information about the game – neither a name nor a date or platforms have been mentioned. So you have to live with the first teaser video and lots of speculation.
