CD Projekt announces Cyberpunk 2077 sequel and multiple Witcher projects are in the works

CD Projekt announced today in a strategy update for investors that it has a sequel Cyberpunk 2077 in the works with three wizard project and a new IP.

First, it was announced that a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 was in development.by going to Project Orion Currently, the game will “prove the full power and potential of the cyberpunk universe” and is being developed by CD Projekt Red.

The company also confirmed that The Molasses Flood, an indie studio it acquired in October 2021, is developing Sirius Project

, “An Innovative Interpretation of the Wizarding Universe”. The project will tell an “unforgettable story” for both existing Witcher fans and new audiences. It’s currently in pre-production.

and also Project Polaris, a story-driven open-world RPG that builds on the legacy of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. During pre-production, the game was developed by CD Projekt Red and is the start of a new Witcher trilogy. All three games in the trilogy are expected to be delivered within six years of Polaris’ release.

Another wizarding project is also in the works.Call Large Dog Program

it is a story-driven single-player open-world role-playing game set in the wizarding world and contracted to develop by a third-party studio led by a former wizarding veteran.

Finally, CDP revealed that it is expanding its library with a third IP that differs from the Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher series.Under the code name is under development Hadar planwhich entered the concept stage at the end of 2021 and is 100% developed in-house.

No further information was provided about these projects, but it sounds like CDP’s future is busy.
