CD Projekt RED has struck and incorporated a new development studio, which previously helped with the creation of the sci-fi role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077.
The Canadian studio Digital Scapes will no longer operate independently, but is now part of CD Projekt RED. The developer had previously worked closely with the Witcher and Cyberpunk makers, in the future you will only work for them.
According to CD Projekt RED, Digital Scapes “did a great job during the creation of Cyberpunk 2077” and “supported the development of the game and the optimization of various features”.
In the future, Digital Scapes will continue to support CD Projekt RED’s game projects, but will also contribute new technologies to broaden their own competencies.
Due to the takeover, Digital Scapes will change its name and appear as CD Projekt RED Vancouver in the future. The studio complements the three previous CDP studios in Warsaw, Krakow and Wroclaw.
Digital Scapes was founded in 2021 by former employees of BioWare, Radical Entertainment and Relic. The studio specialized in AAA multiplayer titles for PC and console, with team members helping with well-known titles such as Cybeprunk 2077, Dying Light, Company of Heroes, Dead Rising, Mass Effect and Prototype.
