Because Wikipedia now has its most popular articles of 2023 with one Blog-Posting announced.
The blockbuster films “Oppenheimer” and “Barbie” are included, but somehow with their roles reversed, as you will find out in this article.

About ChatGPT and Oppenheimer: In the first half of the year, Wikipedia on ChatGPT received between 100,000 and 400,000 page views, almost daily. Across all languages supported by Wikipedia – which includes Europe Wikipedia – there were over 78 million page views of ChatGPT articles on Wikipedia.
The GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) language model has repeatedly made headlines in the past. It raised both fears and hopes. Even world-famous authors such as Stephen King took a stand on the technical development.

By the way, the second place occupied by “Deaths” is not surprising, because – as the Wikimedia Foundation writes – these are “an always popular article on Wikipedia”.
Where are Oppenheimer, Barbie and other films on Wikipedia’s best list?
Various films and series are among the first places in the page views ranking. Right at the forefront are the two films that shaped this cinema summer with “Barbenheimer”.

What does this say about Oppenheimer and Barbie? Fifth place goes to the Christopher Nolan film “Oppenheimer”. A little behind is the historical person and the protagonist of the film, »J. Robert Oppenheimer”, seventh place.
The pink counterpart to the film about the invention of the atomic bomb marks “Barbie” in 13th place.
The fictional Oppenheimer may have beaten Barbie in the Wikipedia ranking, but the popular children’s toy had more than double the financial success at the box office.
How Daily Mail writes, Barbie has earned a total of 1.44 billion US dollars (approximately 1.34 billion dollars). Oppenheimer was able to bring in 951 million US dollars (around 883 million dollars). Still a phenomenal box office result, but less than the pink-robed lady.
