game news CoD Warzone 2: Players are complaining about additions to Season 4 and The Boys’ Homelander has something to do with it too
Because why not: the Boys series has recently landed in Call of Duty Warzone 2.0, with the integration of… cheated forces. And that’s obviously a problem for players.
Too strong a superhero, on Prime Video like in Call of Duty
Call of Duty Warzone continues on its good way and Activision managed to find an unexpected new partnership: Now it’s The Boys at your disposal in the famous Battle Royale with the powers and skins of the Protector, Starlight and Black Noir. Originally a comic book, the franchise was largely made popular by being adapted in to a television series, and it’s now quite popular – well, almost.
Because for once, many Warzone 2.0 players see red: It turns out that the protector’s power is simply betrayed, so many netizens. As a reminder, these are generally similar to Superman’s, but also add the ability to use a retinal laser to disintegrate his enemies.
The problem is that this laser, fun as it is to use, would throw everything off balance. A better armed, better prepared, and just plain better playing player can be crushed in the blink of an eye (and that’s the truth). For the competition, it might not have been the best addition.
What’s morethese overpowered abilities are singled out for being far too easy to restore in-game, rather than having to be acquired through specific objectives or missions. In short, there is no real consensus in the community.
And if there’s more, then there’s more
This Season 4 Reloaded also offers new weapons: that’s obviously a problem there too. Finally we are talking here brand new shotgun whose rate of fire and power are proving to be quite over the top, creating an imbalance once again.
One problem became apparent no less than an hour after the Reloaded update: In short: Infinity Ward and Raven Software will still have their hands full getting their community up to speed. Well then good luck.
