Star Wars and Harry Potter were both such prolific franchises that they have been accused of trying to stick it out for the money. The first tries, with its postology, to perpetuate the myth of power without reinventing itself. The second, with Fantastic Beasts, reveals the past of important characters but really tells a lot. These franchises are sometimes considered less memorable than the early adventures and divide fans.
