Command & Conquer Remastered Collection: New edition receives appointment + several editions

Strategy fans will finally get a good dose of Command & Conquer again in a few months. Today EA announced the release date for the Command & Conquer Remastered Collection.

It has long been known that the real-time strategy classic Command & Conquer is being reissued in a contemporary manner. On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the strategy evergreen, Electronic Arts today announced the release date for the Remastered Collection.

This is a collection of the strategy classics that will be available from June 5th, 2020 via Origin and Steam. This new edition is also included in the Origin Access Premier subscription.

What do you get for your money? Included are Command & Conquer: The Tiberium Conflict, Command & Conquer: Red Alert and the three related extensions called The State of Emergency, Counterattack and Retaliatory Strike. With the help of the community, former members of Westwood Studios have reissued the new editions under the flag of Petroglyph Games and, among other things, also elaborately polished the cutscenes. The games themselves come with new graphics, fresh textures and 4K resolution. The user interface and controls have also been modernized, as has the map editor.

Pre-orders are now possible, with different editions to choose from. Among other things, there is a digital edition and a physical Collector's Edition:

Digital Standard Edition: EUR 19.99 – Only available through Origin and Steam. Contains the remaster versions of The Tiberium Conflict and Red Alert, as well as all three enhancements (The State of Emergency, Counterattack and Retaliatory Strike) as well as countless bonus features and improvements.

Physical Special Collector’s Edition: $ 59.99 (Third Party) – Only at Limited run games available. Delivered in a two-part embossed box and contains a digital download code for Steam, a 16 GB USB stick in the form of a Tiberium crystal, on which the newly mixed soundtrack is located (119 songs, over 7 hours of music, included Album "Frank Klepacki and the Tiberian Sons: Celebrating 25 Years of Command & Conquer"); double-sided 18 x 24 inch poster, four enamel faction pins, technology tree printouts (one for each faction) and one faction sticker sheet.

Physical 25th Anniversary Collector’s Edition: $ 149.99 (Third Party) – Only at Limited run games available. This edition contains all the features of the Special Edition as well as a chic, rigid, foiled and embossed box, the newly mixed soundtrack on 6 CDs with Frank Klepacki's signature, an art book with over 100 pages, four faction patches, a double-sided beanie – Cap, a mammoth metal replica as well as a lacquered Tesla coil and a lacquered obelisk of light made of PVC with light and sound effects.
