One of the titles most praised by critics last year is now attracting the attention of a prominent writer. Does this increase the chances of a film adaptation of the toy?

The Alan Wake and Max Payne makers from Remedy Entertainment established Control, a new action brand with a supernatural setting, and received numerous excellent reviews. It is not for nothing that the game was also found on numerous lists of nominees in the Game of the Year category of various awards. This is apparently not hidden from well-known people from the film industry, after all, more and more video game franchises are actually being filmed.
Could we possibly have a film about Control in our house? At least corresponding interest is now stored in one case. During a Twitter AMA session, Gary Whitta, writer of "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" was asked which video game he would most like to see in a film. The direct answer: Control by Remedy.
The question of whether he would supervise such a film project as a writer was also answered in the affirmative in the ensuing period, thus underlining his interest. You don't have to make a story out of it if there weren't another detail: Remedy herself also came across the tweet and picked it up in the person of the head of the communications department. The answer to Whitta's interest: "Let's talk."
Lets talk @garywhitta 🙏

We are still a long way from confirming a film adaptation, however, the first contact could have actually been made via social media that could possibly result in such a project. In any case, Remedy doesn't seem to be averse either. We'll keep you up to date.
