Core Keeper is a mining sandbox adventure game for 1 to 8 players with a cute pixel art style. Alone or as part of a team, you venture into an ancient underground cavern where you must mine, fight and craft to survive.
The more you play Core Keeper, you’ll build a base, come face-to-face with monsters, be able to grow crops, and everything you’d expect from a mining sandbox game. Nonetheless, it looks like an upcoming update to Core Keeper will add more activities for you and your friends!
The upcoming update, titled “Desert of Beginning,” will be released for free on November 10 following the game’s Early Access release in March this year. What will the update include, you ask?
Well, this update introduces a new biome called “Desert of the Beginnings”, a new sub-biome called “The Molten Quarry”, and various new enemies, weapons, music, and bases Construction options. The two huge new features introduced are also go karting and bug finding.
Karting is exactly what it sounds like. Players will be able to discover a brand new ore called Galaxite and start crafting karts from there. Therefore, players can enjoy the new biome to the fullest.
To help explore the new biome and all it has to offer, bug hunting will be added to the game. Players can grab a bug net and set out to find and capture critters on land to form their own collection. It sounds Animal Crossing if you ask me, and I love the sound of it.
In addition to new weapons, gear and tools, two new bosses will be added to the game; the lava-quality Igneous and the titan Ra-Akar will be available for you and your mates to fight side by side. In addition to all this new content, the quality of life for the core Guardians has also been improved, and Steam achievements have been added to the game.
As for what Pugstorm’s COO and Chief Animator had to say, Sven Thole shared: “Beginning Desert is our biggest update to Core Keeper to date and the one we’re most looking forward to players discovering. We’ve been keeping a close eye on players What’s your favorite aspect of the game and what else they’d like to see and believe we’ve come a long way with this update. We’re really enjoying the new gameplay opportunities that Kart offers and can’t wait to see the community What’s the reaction to that.”
The Guardians of the Core’s current Halloween event, the Creepy Costume Party, ends on November 5th. After just five days, you can enter the “Desert of the Beginnings” update for the Guardians of the Core and explore all the new content you can find.
