A Free2Play weekend turns into Free2Play: After the party game Misbits, which was only published last month, was free to play for a weekend at the end of March, it removed its price tag on April 4, 2020 complete for the remaining duration of the early access phase.
Corona virus as a reason: In the announcement on Steam, the development team states that they chose this step due to the current spread of the corona virus. So the title is suitable as a social platform in times of social distance.

Refund and bonuses for owners
To compensate, all existing owners will also receive three cosmetic items, which should have a value of around $ 30:
- "Diablo" head
- "Shadow" head
- "Tiki" skin
- A "Buddy Pass" with which you can invite a friend for free before April 4th.
Alternatively, as part of the Free2Play upgrade, you can continue until April 6th request a refund, and get your money back. Then of course you will not receive the item package mentioned.
What's next with Misbits?
From the start of the Free2Play phase on April 4, 2020, the developer wants a series of "worthwhile" In-game activities announce. He does not yet give precise details at the current time. However, it is likely that these are new skins and heads for your characters.
In Misbits you always play as the head of a toy figure. You get skills in the matches by taking over different bodies. It was very well received by the players. A few users also complained about empty servers. The Free2Play version could solve this problem.
