Guilty Gear Strive is the seventh installment in the Guilty Gear series, one of many fighting games from Arc System Works. The game has been out for over a year now, launching in Summer 2021, but Arc System Works continues to work hard to improve the experience for all players.
In recent news, Guilty Gear Strive announced that it will hold a cross-platform public beta from February 3rd to February 6th, aimed at testing online multiplayer games between players on different platforms. Included platforms are PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Steam and Windows.
For those who wish to participate, the beta testing will take place on a separate app from Guilty Gear Strive and will be available for download from the st ore on the platform of your choice. Then, after downloading, you can play the game with your friends from different platforms and show them who’s boss.
During the beta testing period, there will be 22 playable characters including DLC characters, as shown in the image below. As for game modes, you’ll be able to jump into the following modes: Tutorial Mode, Mission Mode, Survival Mode, Training Mode, VS COM/VS 2P, Online Matches, Combo Maker, Digital Figures, and Gallery.
Those who play the game on consoles can also jump into the open beta without a subscription to PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live. However, you will need a stable internet connection, and you won’t be able to transfer any beta progress to your main save.
